George P. Taylor, the son and grandson of original colonists, began this project over forty years ago at which time he had the insight to begin collecting, preserving and compiling information and documents about the Blalock Mexico Colony and its colonists. Mr. Taylor, deceased, is the author of some of the content presented in this project and his wife, Mary-Agnes Taylor, and family have allowed the authors access to the body of his unfinished manuscripts. Bill and Carol Ward and Rick and Liz Newcomb have collected significant documentation about the Blalock Mexico Colony. Many other colony descendants have also contributed information, photos, maps and time to this project including; Tom Ingram, Nellie Britt Bennett of the Snell family, Alton Turner of the Turner and Taylor families, Mary K. Dolge of the Taylor family and Lily Taylor of the Medlin family. Rick and Liz Newcomb, of the Taylor family, are developing the web site and story content with technical web and database expertise from Josh Frkuska. Bill and Carol Ward, of the Young family, are spearheading the development of content about individual families and Claims Commission files. |
