HAVE FOUR MONTHS TO GO

All Members of the Party on Their Way Home.

Blalock Alone Remaining To Look After Title – Timber Valuable.

In a private letter to Joe Sweet from Geo. E. Blalock written at San Luis Potosi on the 14th, he states that they had closed the deal for the 114,450 acre tract of land with all improvements thereon, also 500 cattle and 160 horses. They deposit $5000 in the bank as an evidence of good faith, which reverts to the company in case the title is not satisfactory. If it is the balance of $115,000 must be paid by Jan. 10, 1903. The consideration $120,000 Mexican money. He has already been offered $10,000 for the tie timber on the tract, but thinks it is worth the whole of the purchase price.

He stated that the balance of the "boys" were all on their way home he alone remaining behind to look after the title, etc. He said he might have to go to the city of Mexico to get a lawyer to pass on the title, as there was no American lawyer in San Luis Potosi, a city of 125,000 people.
