Decided Plan to Move at Once – Next Monday They Start
The Mexico colonists met as usual last Saturday afternoon in the Jackson & Wilson hall. Stocks were issued to each share holder in the corporation and the question of early moving to their landed interests came up for discussion. About eighty-five families expressed their readiness to go at once, which means a train of some 10 cars of freight, two of baggage and three coaches of persons. Next Monday was set as the day on which to make the start and it is thought everything will be in readiness to move. This will be a relief to many families who have been here since early in the fall waiting for the first opportunity to start for the new Eldorado. The remainder of the colonists will not go until spring.
