HEARD FROM EN ROUTE

The Mexico Colonists Spent Sunday
in San Antonio and Continued on
Their Journey at Midnight.

A special dispatch to the Dallas News date Sunday, February 22, says:  “The advance guard of the Blalock Mexico colony arrived in San Antonio this morning and left at midnight for Escandon, Mexico, where the colony is to be located.

There were 220 men, women and children in the party, all from Greer county, Oklahoma, who will locate on a landed concession granted by the Mexican government, consisting of 176,500 acres.  This contingent is to be followed in a short time by 450 colonists from Greer county, the large majority of whom will engage in diversified farming.”
