The Blalock Mexico Colony saga has been kept alive for over 100 years through countless stories, both oral and written, told by original colonists and their descendants. These stories describe daily life, childhood jaunts and activities, school days, hunting and fishing trips, mountain trips, church socials, dances, weddings and other memorable events. There are vivid stories about life in and around Chamal during the Revolution of 1910-1920. These stories contribute to knowledge of our ancestors' lives and times by adding the smells, sounds, colors, landscapes, emotions and impressions of life in the Blalock Mexico Colony.
